I bought Sennheiser RS 130 Wireless Surround Sound Headphones off of ebay for such a great price! When you have speakers strapped to your ears there's only so many places sound can come from. I found out that Ultrasone, the German based headphone manufacturer, had agreed to send us a pair of their premium HFI-580 S-Logic headphones. Linn's SACDs are hybrids, so if you do not have a surround sound system you can still benefit from the best sound on any CD player. If you prefer to use only CSS for colors and what not, then go right ahead and delete the following lines, and the image files. I watch this LCD in a totally darken room the upper and lower bezel(black frame of ths lcd) reflects light from the LCD. Samsong did not test their Model 750 in a darken room before releasing it to the public. Other then that negative feature, it is a wonderful LCD. Picture quality is fabulous, controls are easy and intuitive and overall aesthetics are very pleasing. I have a Directv HD DVR for my hi-def source and the picture is incredible. I have not noticed any halo effect that others have talked about. I have it in a relatively bright room with a ceiling mounted light about 4 feet in front of it and have no problem with screen glare. The provided software for this could have been a little more intuitive, but it does work. As great as this tv is at showing hi def television, it really shines playing video games. The picture is icredible and with a 52 inch screen my kids no longer feel the need to be 2 feet in front of the tv when playing. If you are wavering as to which TV to buy, stop now and purchse this one ASAP. However spectacular a monitor is in displaying images, to fully enjoy a game the way that the developers intended requires no less than a powerful sound system. I can see them lasting a long time and taking some abuse, but they still seem a little more fragile than some other cans I have used. I demoed them at guitar center they didnt isolate well at all. I could still hear people talking, albeit the sounds were muffled a bit. I can definitely attribute to the fact that mine clamp harder than the demo cans, because the demo cans have been broken in in terms of clamp force and such. Grey by Pendulum, there is a deep bass line that, with my A700's deep bass, comes to life. The bass can be described as tight, accurate, pretty impactful, but not super great extension. The lack of fluffyness in the sub-bass actually is not enjoyable. If you could describe their sound signature in one word it would be Euphonic. These are not very laid back, and can actually become fatiguing after a bit. I think a slight bit of detail is lost in the s-logic faux-surround sound. Rather than feeling like you are watching the artist perform live, it feels like you are actually IN the band. I am pretty new when it comes to evaluating audio equipment. I think Im going to return them and opt for some cheaper, $60 Sennheiser HD215's. Recently, I had a disagreement with another member who contended that the Pro 750's do not play what sounds like a type of surround sound but instead only play a wide sound stage typical of other types of headphones (non-Ultrasone). I say they do play a type of surround sound and they do have a wide sound stage as well. I would like to attempt to define exactly what I mean by surround sound as it is produced by the Ultrasone Pro 750's. To further exemplify the sound of the Pro 750's, suppose you were listening to an orchestra playing via the Pro 750's. And, at the same time, while one is hearing specific sounds outside of the head, there is this hearing awareness that one is in (what one might call) an acoustically controlled listening environment. I have limited my discussion to the Pro 750's. The reason for this is because I have heard only the Pro (Proline) 750's, Pro (Proline) 2500's and the Pro (Proline) 650's. Of those three, I have heard the Pro (Proline) 750's extensively, the Pro (Proline) 650's to a much less extent and the Pro (Proline) 2500's to an even lesser extent. I have no personal experience with any other Ultrasone Headphone. An example of this would be the other member I previously wrote about. According to this theory, as I understand it, the brain's perception is so accustomed to the typical right-middle-left sound stage of the typical (non-Ultrasone) headphone, that, initially, it (the brain) causes the listener to be incapable of hearing the surround sound effect from the Pro 750's.

I think I can safely assume that there are some who disagree with these theories and who, like the previously mentioned other member, disagree that a surround sound effect from the Pro 750's actually exists (perhaps based on their own experience with the Pro 750). I can only convey from my
personal experiences (as previously described) with the Pro (Proline) 750's. I would love to be able to experience what it might sound like to have a violin stuck through your head (like those arrow through the head hats). Proline 750 was designed by Charlie McCarthy, and was designed to throw sounds all around the room. Holman and the Dolby boys had nothin' on Charlie McCarthy. If I was going to tell you where to stick something it wouldn't be through your head. IMO, the Ultrasone Pro 750 headphones are one of the best sounding headphones I've ever heard. I don't drink alcohol and I don't take any kind of mind altering drugs and I've never had any problems with delusions or hearing things that aren't there. The last few people that came over my place and saw them sitting on the dock each said exactly that. I saw some online one day and after some Google research I decided on these Sony MDR-RF6000 wireless surround Sound headphones. If you live with a Wife, girlfriend, roommates, parents or whoever you know the feeling of having to wait until they get up to play or face the lesser experience of playing with the volume all the way down. I got these headphones I had to have the volume very low. The repeated gunshot and explosion sounds from Halo 3 or Call of Duty 4 even at low volumes can be annoying to others. I must say I saw some great reviews on the Sony MDR-RF6000 wireless surround sound headphones online. The base that the headphones sit and charge on also serves as a surround sound decoder. These are the surround sound formats found in Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii games. I tested the headphones playing Halo 3 and the localization of the sounds exceeded my expectations. Halo 3 when guns were shot behind me I could tell where. These headphones really do produce a surround sound effect. I could hear footsteps and I could tell the direction of approach. RCA Pro Logic II signals but also decodes Dolby Digital signals though an optical connection. You do not have to be in the line of sight of the base for them to work. At close distances (10-20 feet) I did not notice any sound degradation. I had no issues with the wireless aspect of the headphones. GHz WiFi router and I was able to play Mario Kart DS WiFi matches using the router while at the same time listening to music via wireless headphones with no issues whatsoever on either device. WiFi connectivity to the Nintendo DS but I simply switched channels on the headphones using the "tune" feature on the headset.
